Laura Pfister, senior associate registrar in the registrar’s office, has been honored as the 2024 Helen A. Ward Crossley Distinguished Service Award recipient.

Pfister joined the College in 1991 as the Hamilton Holt School program secretary with different roles supporting student registration and records. In 2018, she joined the Office of the Registrar as senior associate registrar.

As one colleague notes, “Laura has embodied the highest standards of dedication, commitment, and excellence. Often working behind the scenes, Laura has established herself as an unsung hero within our organization, deserving of recognition for her unwavering dedication to service, exceptional performance, innovative spirit, and remarkable teamwork that make her an invaluable asset to our organization.”

The Helen A. Ward Crossley Distinguished Service Award for staff was established in 1999 as a means of recognizing Rollins staff members for their outstanding service and dedication to the College. The award is granted annually to a staff member whose contributions to the College over time most consistently demonstrate exceptional performance above and beyond normal job expectations. The award is named for Helen Crossley, who served under five College presidents for over 59 years and personifies this recognition.
